Soil Testing

Soil testing is utilized for purchase, sale and development of a variety of properties and is a prerequisite to a complete septic system design.

Soil Tests and Septic System Design

Soils are tested to determine the soil’s drainage capability, the average high groundwater mark and signs of bedrock. If the soil is impermeable you will create a pond of sewage in your yard, whereas very sandy and loose soils do not allow adequate time for treatment to take place. These soil conditions, as well as features of your lot, such as slope and house placement, will determine the required type and location for your septic system.
